I'm sorry about your child's illness however, NO ONE on this internet will really be able to help you CORRECTLY-- please call your child's doctor and before you do, write down all these questions to ask him:
1. what foods should be fed.
2. what food shouldn't she eat.
3. can I use salt on her foods or not?
4. should I make sure all her foods have no spices in them?
5. can she take any medications over the counter, or should I contact her doctor everytime she is ill.
6. how often should she see a doctor?
7. How much fluid should she drink each day, and is too much liquid not good?
8. What are SYMPTOMS of her getting ill that I should watch for daily?----- fever, not urinating frequently, stomach ache, funny smelling urine, dark colored urine, back pain.
9. Can your child play sports-and if so, which type and should I worry about any injuries that could harm her kidney...

You may need to actually go in and see the doctor and have them go over the care that will be needed to keep your child healthy---

God bless your child and I hope she will do fine..........

You should be able to give them anything that is healthy for anyone.

Since the child doesn't actually have a transplant, you don't have to worry about things that would promote the immune system and perhaps cause the body to reject a transplanted organ.

Eating well is key. They should be able to have a healthy normal life.
