The 1 1/2 inch would be best. However When I do mine though I start with my hair damp and blow dry it with a special dryer brush (see web link). Just roll it under as you blow dry. It makes my hair really shiny and manageable when I use it! Don't forget a little moose. http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/sr=1-1/qid=1171518907/ref=sr_1_1/601-0658193-8456116?ie=UTF8&asin=B0002U46QW

Definatly Large. I have a set that comes with 3 in it, small, med and large, and for curling under, using large is always the best. If you use it to small, it looks really weird! I also have slightly longer then sholder hair, and when I curl it on the ends I use large. For doing lenght wise curls I use the smaller barrells! Hope that helps!!

It relies upon on what length curls you want. My hair is immediately and basically previous my shoulders and that i take advantage of a huge barrel. in case you employ a small barrel you'll finally end up with tighter curls. you need to placed some styling product on your hair and enable it dry, then curl and spray in case you want it to carry for a lengthy time period.
