No, a 5.9L (360 cubic inch) dodge V8 is not a hemi. The only hemi's dodge currently builds are the 5.7L found in the Ram, Charger, Durango, and 300C as well as the 6.1L found in some of the SRT-8 model cars. The dakotas are not available with a hemi.

No, 2003 is the last year they used the 5.9 in their vehicles, they switched over to the 4.7 V-8. There are no Hemi's in Dakotas unless you do it yourself.

The dakota is a 5.9L R/T they stopped making R/T's in 2003 me and my bf had this vehicle

his isnt an R/T as its a Quad cab. but it is the last year the 5.9 was an option for the dakota. the 4.7 didnt replace the 5.9 but infact it replaced the 5.2. so if you have a 5.9 in a QC then its a pretty rare engine for that body style. have only seen a handful around.

THIS ENGINE IS NOT A HEMI IT IS A MAGNUM. IT IS HOWEVER A SLIGHTLY HEAVEIR DUTY VERSION OF 360. IT WAS MOST COMMONLY USED IN THE 2500 4X4. IT HAS SHOWED UP IN 2X4 VERSIONS THOUGH. HORSE POWER AND TORQUE ARE THE SAME AS THE STANDARD 360. FUEL AND EXHAUST DURATION ARE A LITTLE LONGER.
