Well, that depends on whether or not you're referencing the War of Schleswig-Holstein in 1864 between the Danes and the Prussians and Austrians... As as for whether or not the Danes should exact revenge upon the Germans over a war that seemed pointless at the time, and still confuses scholars today...... It's simple - There's no good reason for revenge in this case...

In 1955 Denmark and Germany signed the Bonn-Copenhagen-Declaration which gave the German minority in South-Denmark and the Danish minority in the North-German state of Schleswig-Holstein a lot of minority rights.
This declaration is still viewed as the role model in solving minority issues. And as I'm living in Schleswig-Holstein and travelling frequently to Denmark I can assure you there are no ideas of making war on both sides.
So the only Danish soldiers "invading" Schleswig-Holstein might be the officers going to the German cities of Rendsburg and Kiel where the NATO headquarters for Jutland and the Baltics are, which are jointly operated by Denmark and Germany.
So I doubt that any Dane would even have the crazy idea of invading Schleswig-Holstein.

Since Denmark and Germany are both a part of the EU, there's no way Denmark could send any army southwards to reclaim a Bundesland that has belonged to Germany for quite some time now, so a 'war' would never occur and the point is moot. When countries enter the EU, they sign a pact to never go to war with each other.
