The favorites folder where Bookmarks are saved by IE is located in Documents and Settings. It is easy to copy to a different location. Where is the folder where Firefox saves Bookmarks? And does Firefox save Bookmarks in the same format? Can they be easily re-imported by Firefox?

In FireFox go to "Bookmarks" then "Organize bookmarks" at the top of the window that pops up click "back up and restore". Select back up it should save it as a JSON file. To restore simply do the first three steps except choose restore. Select choose file and navigate to where the backup file was saved Good luck
