Just sit in a room, no tv, no music or if you have to something with waterfalls, or birds, and just think about yourself and the things you would like to have.

Chronic stress can affect your health, home life, job, etc so we all have to have stress relievers. A few we can do: exercise, eat healthy (limit caffeine, no alcohol during stress, have foods & beverages that have calming effect-herbal teas, potatoes, pasta), rest & relax, listen to soothing music, prop up your feet, take a short nap (less than 20 min. can be re-energizing), prayer & meditation, aromatherapy (particularly scent of lavender & green apples), manage your time, seek support. A study I read said drinking tea regulary can help speed recovery from stress- it reduced the levels of the stress hormone (cortisol levels drop). Remember to laugh and play- take time for you.

A good "fluffy" book, one that transports you to another world and a big bag of popcorn usually works for me. The book takes your mind off all your troubles better than a movie because you are concentrating on mental pictures. The popcorn is to keep your hand moving and because it helps you concentrate better. Turn off the phone. You say you don't like baths, but when I combine bath, book, popcorn and incense, I usually fall asleep right in the tub!

The BEST way to relax is a professional massage. If you can afford it, it'll do wonders man. The hot stone massage is the best. You'll leave there loose as a goose and feeling great!!!
