Hardly any.
lets take a look at the law making bodies- the parliament, legislatures, et al:
1. Percentage average voting: 50%
2. Percentage average votes polled by winning candiadates: 30 % of votes polled ==15% of total vote enabled population
3. Percentage average legislators attending the voting on crucial issues: 50% ==7.5% of total vote enabled population
4. percentage average votes secured by a legislations (of legislators present and voting)= 60% == 4.5% of total vote enabled population

Hence, it is the representation of just about 4.5% people that enacts laws. Again, what is the percentage of reasonably educated persons voting to the actual votes polled? Under 10% .

It is therefore imperative that
1. election laws be made more stringent, removing all barriers such as caste based reservations, barring all who at any time oftheir lives have been charge sheeted in a criminal or financial matter.
2. Make voting compulsory for all graduates and above- make postal votes/e-votes possible and available to all
3. All contitutional amendements be made compulasory to be vetted by a REFERENDUM- preferably GRADUATE REFERENDUM
4. Calling back of representatives be made possible and feasible

the only way to get rid of it is for those people to stop living life as though it were ancient times and learn to be tolerant. but, in order to do that, islam needs to do a widespread overhaul on what it teaches and to publicly speak out against the extremists that are ruining their religion. and they need to do it often. but, in the meantime, i don't mind letting our boys and girls get rid of as many of those backward-a** murderers as possible. our govt needs to take a really tough, hard stand against states that support, supply, train, or harbor them. that would benefit as well. to heck with diplomacy. try it once, but, don't take any crap from them. they don't want to be humane, peace-loving, tolerant people.... invade them. they had their chances to keep to themselves and run their own country in the ground. but, when they start supporting (directly or indirectly) terrorists... that becomes the responsibility of nations that do not.
