Have a cup of coffee & smoke a cigarette - that will loosen you up.

I would take a stool softener. Laxatives will screw ya up big time, so steer clear of those. But, a stool softener is gentle and just loosens everything up so uhhh, things are softer.

I doubt that massaging the abdomen would work, at least probably not to your satisfaction. I'd go right for the stool softeners. Hate those cramps and the fullness that goes along with constipation. Yuck.

Usually I am suggesting molasses (a couple of swigs) or bananas to relax muscles but too much will give you the runs. So a banana or two a day will succeed.

There is a book that teaches about muscles, pain and referred pain anywhere in the body. The principle is that the muscles get knots called trigger points which make the muscles tight that then press on nerves. It teaches how to get them to release which gets rid of the pain.
The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Davies.
I also use a chiropractor and massage therapist as needed.

It my help abit, but strenuous exercise and lots of fluids combined with lots of roughage andsome sugarworks better. Try about 3 glasses ofKoolaid, raisin bran cereal and milk. if itis caused by narcotics, legal or not, you may have to go to the hospital and get disimpacted, though.

Yep it does work and if you massage the lower back just to the top of the butt it helps as well. Best way to "move it on through"
