The beaks will crack due to poor diet or a host of other situations. You need to get the bird to a veterinarian. According to the site a minor beak fracture will repair itself, others require treatment with acrylic. Obviously, a vet needs to assess that.

There are also alternative foods listed that will help the bird get by until the beak is repaired.

I would take him to the vet, The crack can worsen especially in hook-bills...They eat hard seeds which can irritate the crack more. The vet can grind down the affected area...The other problem is food an debris can get stuck inside the crack which can cause an infection...The inner lining of the mouth can be affected as if a infection occurs.
