do you prefer a weak/gentle handshake or a strong/firm one? does it matter?

personally, i think it does. it says alot about the person. but that's just me.

some people are confusing the question. i didn't mean what's the best way to shake a man's hand. i meant what do most women prefer when shaking a man's hand. do you like a strong/firm handshake(from the man) or a softer/weaker one? i prefer a man with a strong handshake because it shows confidence. and confidence is a turn on. but once again, that's just me.

If I shake a mans hand, I like it to be firm (no squeezing please), if it is a limp/weak hand shake I feel that he is not taking me seriously... ... ...

strong firm hand shake = confident
weak= your not secure in yourself
early or grabbing end of fingers only =your nervous and or excitable

go with strong and firm. shows you can take anything they dish out. good or bad. guys like confident women, ask them i have many male friends.

I prefer a stong firm handshake...but nothing makes me madder than a guy who tries to intimidate you by crushing your hand ! Its a total power play....I just squeeze right back as hard as I can !

Definitely Firm. A weak handshake is such a turnoff. I like it when they have big hands and they just surround mine, but never crush my poor thin hands. :) yay boys.

A limp hand gives me the creepies. I like a guy who can shake my hand firmly, but not so firm as to break a few bones!
