Open up Firefox, Click Tools, then Options. on the "Main" tab there's a check that says "Always Check to see if firefox is the default Browser" clear it.
In Internet Explorer go to Tools, Internet Options, then go to the "Programs" tab. there's a check that says "Tell me if Internet Explorer is not the default browser" make sure it's checked, if it's not, check it and restart the program. It'll ask you to make it the default, just click yes and it's not going to bother you anymore.

Click on any other browser like Internet Explorer. It should come up with a box that asks "IE is not your default browser. Do you want to make it your default browser?" Click on yes.
Most people who use Firefox never leave it. Did you check that you installed it properly, if you are having problems with it?

In internet explorer, click on tools
then click internet options
at the top there are tabs, click on Programs
Down toward the bottom it says Reset Web Settings
THat will make IE your default browser.

Go to the tools menu in Internet Explorer (Little gear-shaped thing in the latest version) then choose Internet Options.
Choose the "Programs" tab, and somewhere on that screen should be a button labeled "Make Default".

When you start up Internet Explorer, it should prompt you weather to make that your default browser, or to keep it as Firefox. It should be self-explanatory from there. Good luck!
