I don't. I love that about going to a hotel. I atcually went to a hotel once where there was a sign and you had to put your towels on the floor inorder to get new ones. I was in haven. I think it is so weird to make the hotel bed when they are goingt to change the sheets and make it again. What do you do

If I'm staying for two nights, I'll made the hotel bed.

I'll take out the used towels to the chambermaid when she comes by to change for new ones. I'll tell her not to make the bed till next day when I'll check out.

This will help to conserve some water and save the chambermaid some time. I believe a chambermaid's life can be hard and low wages. Hence, it is good sometime, since it doesn't take much, to lift some people's spirit in some small kind act.

And if I stayed only one night, I simply straightened the bed sheet and checked at the same time for any personal stuff left behind.

Don't make the bed.It just makes more work for the maid. When I leave the room I take off the sheets and put the towels in it like a little sack. That way the maid just picks everything up all at once and saves her a little time. You never know when life may change and you might be the maid and wouldn't you like a little extra consideration. Remember you get what you give.

I put the bed together more or less neatly if I'm going to be using the room for a while before check-out or before the maid comes. I don't have a messy bed in the mornings in my own room, and don't want to put up with one in a hotel, IF I'm in the room, or especially if I have guests coming to the room. BUT, I don't "make the bed" and expect the maid to do it correctly when I leave.
Towels on the floor is pretty standard now throughout the world.

I don't make the bed when I stay for more than one night, because I'm paying them to do it. I sure don't pay a hundred bucks a night for one room and a bathroom at home. It's part of the price of the room. I strip the bed before I check-out, and gather all the towels in one place. I also leave a tip for the maid.

No. Actually I strip the beds for the maid, because I used to be a hotel maid and I know thats the first thing they do when they go into the room, is take the covers and the dirty linens off the beds. They would appreciate it if everyone did that, rather than make up a bed.

No I don't make the bed but I do pull off the sheets and pillowcases and put them in a pile with the towels so the maid won't have to, when she/he comes in they can put clean sheets on the bed and pick up the pile, I'm just trying to be a little helpful.

Only if I'm going to stay for 2 nights or more do I make the bed. Towels always go in a pile either in the tub or on the floor.

no. i leave it neat, but i dont make it. what is the point? it would make more work for the maid, who has to change the sheets.

and yeah, it is pretty standard to leave the towels you dont want to keep on the floor or in the tub. but in an effort to conserve water, you should reuse your towels so they dont have to get washed everyday if you are staying a hotel for longer than one night.

If that's a good hotel - it is in basic terms a ok made costly mattress. They purchase ideal of the line as they're especially offering a mattress (this is their activity) and greater effective high quality products final. That and resorts purchase in bulk so the fee isn't so undesirable for them. high quality exhibits in in simple terms approximately something one buys.

I don't make the bed...housekeeping will have to strip the bed regardless of whether you've made it or not. They have to strip the bed even if it doesn't look like you've slept in it. I never leave my room in a big mess anyways though
