They're all over the place, they just don't tend to be the ones you notice immediately. You may not want to look in the places that your friends typically look, and stick to more low-key, relaxed places. It's definitely good that you want that kind of guy, though. I was starting to worry there were no more people like you out there that actually care about that kind of stuff.

Try possibly going to a volunteer organization. Example Habitat for Humanity or Red Cross. I donate platelets at the American Red Cross. A good way to know if someone is not on drugs is if they donate regularly. You can smell the smoke. Drinking heavily and donating would not work either.

OK, number one, stay out of the clubs. Maybe a mutual friend? (A friend of yours who has a single friend who meets the bill).
Otherwise, try church singles groups (larger churches will probably be best for this), internet dating services where you can specify what you are looking for, volunteer organizations, the grocery store, (ask him how to grill a steak or something), or other organized activities that are set up like a community fundraiser, or church event, or something kind of "wholesome" that way. Good luck to you and DO NOT comprimise. The guy for you is out there.

Well, they ARE out there. I drink occasionally, for instance but don't smoke or take drugs.
I have one friend - now married and just had his first kid! Who is also a firefighter who doesn't smoke, drink, or do drugs.
Why not much fun, folks? Is the only fun in your life related to ingesting chemicals? That's kinda sad.

Right here! ;-)
A church or a Jewish synagogue is a good spot. Not a Catholic one either....try a pentecostal. Most are taken already though.
I found my girlfriend on Eharmony.com We are very happy! It is a dating site for people with similar faith and habits (like smoking and drinking)
Blessings

Go to an A.A. meeting or an N.A. meeting try meeting someone who's already gotten it out of their system, doesn't everyone deserve a fresh start or at least a small chance at new beginning?
