Theres this girl I've been talking to for almost three months. Anyway, I have liked her since I've seen her, it was the same with her as well. Well, recently, before I was about to ask her out, I guess she got the feeling I was gonna ask, she said we should remain friends because the last time she had kissed me(the day before), she didn't feel anything. So, of course, me being mad about it all, I got mad, and didn't really know what to say so I said I had to go. Well, anyways, apparently something happened to her when she was 14, and I supposedly looked like the guy who did this terrible thing to her, and thats why she couldn't/can't go out with me. But she wants to remain friends. Which she doesn't understand that I just can't be friends with her, I want too, but I just can't. Its cause I'm always going to want more. And I'm not going to be able to just sit there and pretend its ok when she goes on and dates someone else, especially when I never even got a chance. What would you do???

You have every right to be upset. That would deff be hard to hear. With the girl...i can understand if that happened and u remind her of something terrible that happened cuz u look like him. But if she really likes u...she should understand that u r not that guy and u really care for her. It might take her a bit to come around....but if not just move on...there are other fish in the sea..and if u dont feel like waiting...same thing. Its all up to you. Hope everything works out.

Settle for friends first. It sounds like she will need time to trust any man or relationship due to her past abuse.
If nothing else, you will be a friend willing to try and understand and wait for her trust.

you need to give her space to deal with what going on, if you trulely want more then she want, then you should just leave her
along because if she only want friendship with you, then time to
respect that and more on. you will be the one that get hurt in the
long run.
