I see muslims take an incredible amount of hate from Christians everyday, and thread mentioning Islam reels in countless condemning Christians, these people rarely give it back either. This is just one example. And yet, Christians, who are the ones condemning all others, not just on these forums, but it is a fine example, are the ones who make 100-200 posts a day complaining they are being persecuted. Is this odd to anyone else?

Any Christians that act hateful, need to recheck their steps, because they arent leading the life that Jesus would. I think that because Christians are one of the eldest religions, they have seen what persecution can lead to, therefore, defense becomes number one in a lot of people's heads, before they even act loving. Being on the defense is not any way to live-- religiously or otherwise. I am a die-hard, bible-thumping Christian, and i try to bring light to a world of darkness in a loving way, not by condemning others for their beliefs. Jesus Christ loves us all, no matter. I will share my beliefs, but that's really all i can do. It's not up to me to convert them...
That's something THEY have to want.

I'm a Christian and I wouldn't say that Im persecuted. I think that people hate Christians for some reason. For some reason atheists compare me with terrorist muslims. Muslims aren't persecuted either. Their religion is just seriously questioned, because there are so many holes in it. It teaches hate, Christianity teaches love and fellowship. Atheists seem to hate all religion equally, so I don't really care what they say, but they could have a little more honesty with their questions to all religions. There are always people that will be overly offended, but don't put all Christians into a group. Not all of anything agrees with everything. I group Muslims because they are the ones that need to stop the extremists. If they don't stand against them whole heartedly, I will continue to group them. If a Christian murders someone, I don't say he's a freedom fighter. I say hes a murderer. When a terrorist kills in the name of Islam, and they make excuses, they are with the terrorist, not against him.

Your kidding right? LOL why don't you ask all the christians killed in Sudan, the Ivory Coast, and Indonesia at the hands of muslims if they feel hate when they are being killed. I have NO desire to even talk about islam. I do get alot of hatred from people like you that hate christians for hates sake. I see such persecution all over the world of christians by several different groups...China holds the world record for killing the most people of any faith...63.7 million last century alone of her own people in the name of non religeon. what is your christian fixation. What did your grandma make you go to church or something...sheesh such hostility.

No it isn't ... but - having a relationship with Jesus Christ is a necessity !!!
I'm a Christian and do not mock nor hassle Muslims. I have a Muslim friend though - if that factors into the "equation" ?
Remember; there are phony "Christians" and "posers" who like to stir-up hate, war and violence - whether it be with weapons or with words, on this Y.A. site. True and genuine Christians (although they are not perfect), would not be involved in hate-mongering !

Good grief. You mustn't be on very much.
As for the persecution bit-I agree that us Western Christians must stop claiming that we are persecuted when we don't get our own way.But did you know that Christians are, actually, being persecuted? And that around 120,000 Christians are being martyred each year?Perhaps that is what us Christians are meaning when we say persecution? Is it our fault that these martyrs mostly die in Islamist countries? Are we supposed to refrain from criticizing these countries because they are mainly Muslim?

Once again someone is grouping people. I'm Christian and I havent nor have I witnessed the type of things you seem to think all Christians do! Just because Osama is Islam do you think all Islams are blood thirsty terrorists? They arent! Hitler was German, so all Germans must be like that? Nope. Just like any group you tend to get a bad apple, but thats the exception, not the rule.

This is an interesting observation. We Christians are not to hate-but to love-even and especially "our enemies". Yes, Christians in various parts of this world are being even horribly persecuted for their beliefs. Yet, I am sure other religions are too, to some point. Therefore, it would be best for all religions to respect one another.

Christians appear to have a need for an enemy. In the years between the end of the War between the States and the present, mostly professed Christians killed approximately 18,000 African Americans while flaunting a flaming cross of crucifixion on many of those occasions. At the same time they howled to the heavens that the African Americans were White Christian's enemy, minions of Satan, and ready to rape and defame the Christian church, its women and children.

And where exactly do you see these posts? Most of the time, when I check out the Religion forums, they seem to be predominantly rhetorical questions about how Christianity is evil and Catholicism is the bane of everything good, blah, blah, blah.
At least we don't hold regular executions over here.

for many in the church a "persecution complex" is a required badge they need to wear on their chest. what many seem to forget is that by doing so, they make the re3st of us who follow the teachings of jesus look like asses.
american christians have no idea what it means to live a live of persecution - for many, not having a christmas tree in the town square is "persecution." some people actually die for their faith in other parts of the world - we have it very easy.
it should not be our place to condem anyone -
but then that is just the way i see things, and yes i am the lead pastor of a church
