first off let me say i own 2 of these subs, and you made a awesome purchase. pretty good SPL, and awesome SQ. the rms is 450 watts. having 2 i just went with Boston's gt-28, cause thats the amp made for 2 of these. if i were just running 1 i'd go with this MB Quart amp.

run it at 2 ohms 500 watts and call it good.

have fun with a awesome woofer. and if you are going to put it in a sealed box, pack it with about a pound of pollyfill. trust me on this one.

If you have a subwoofer an amp and a stereo. Then you still need some sort of mid range speakers and tweeters and you might need another amp if your stereo isn't powerful enough to run the highs loud enough to keep up with the subwoofer setup.

depends on ur budget dude....if you got the dough then stop yakkin and buy a 2007 Fostgate power series 1500W....its around $900. but if your in a tight budget a $150 Lanzar 2400W heritage works for my 12" kicker L7....but it goes to protect mode after an hour of blasting..hehehe. but L7 is a tough load as well. cheers audio freak!
