How do you know God has never healed an amputee? Did you take a poll? Do you also wonder why God doesn't save the life of a terminally ill baby? God has a plan and things happen for a reason. Sometimes he does heal, but I don't think he informs you before he does so you can keep tally on what diseases he's currently curing.

If you are an amputee, your purpose should be to find peace, just like,a non amputee, heaven is the goal, earth is a temporary stop, have faith in knowing, none of this matters in heaven, and God loves you.

I have found from my own experience that God heals in many ways. No, we can't regenerate limbs like a starfish, that is not how God made us, but we can be healed in a way that we can deal with our disabilities and be even stronger for it. Like the country song, I thank God for MANY of my "unanswered" prayers. I am not a religious person, and don't even attend church, but I do believe in God, and I know that He is wise in ways that we cannot comprehend. That's why we call him "God". I hope this helps you even a little.
