omg, dont listen to humble simple man, its not gravity or washing, otherwise u could grow thicker nails by dragging them on the ground like a neanderthal and not washing lol. some people just have thick strong nails due to genetics. ur toes need extra protection against gettin squished and ur nails r like a little helmets that block the other caveman from bashin ur toes when he drops the rock he used to knock u out n carry u to his cave (jk). there r ways u can make ur nails grow a little thicker: dissolve a packet of unflavored gelatin into a glass of orange juice n gulp it down. ive never done it cuz ive been blessed w strong nails but ive heard that it works...and besides, gelatin is derived from hooves n cartilage, so its just natural that it would work :)

Your hands are washed more often than your feet, which prevents the layers of skin making up your nails from getting as thick.

Course, may be wrong, but could be due to gravity!

Your feet are closer to the center of the earth, so the blood gets pulled harder to your feet.

Because of gravity. So extra nutrients and sediments just stay stuck there, because they either feel too lazy to move, or have a hard time wading upstream as your heart pumps the blood.

Could be wrong though, but thats the science of physics behind it!

i think it is because of how you care for them, you do alot of stuff with your hand like washing dishes or your car there are a number of things you do with your hands that make your nails brittle that your don't do with your feet
