Hello, I am a freemason, knight templar... I am well read through most western and eastern religion/philosophy books. Yet, I would like to learn more about metaphysics and mysticism. I realize that the journey is within as much or more than out. Does anyone know of a group, book, or system that is not focused on "dues" or membership fees?

Okay for starters have you gone to your local library and internal sources of information, as they would likely have alot of information.

Here is just basic information, which you probably already know, but just in case.

From what I have learnt about masonry, doesn't the Brotherhood have a vast reservoir of information for members.

You went through the degrees and didn't get anything?

I would go over them much closer. Also the Scottish Rite would be the logical next step. Masonry is not focused on dues. Remember what those dues cover, I am sure your familiar.

Also BOTA is really good.

I think lodges run very different from others. Some have good mentors and prep and some don't. I feel you need to be ready for your degrees or else you might be blind to them. The reason I stress this is that 1,2,3 blue degrees plus York cover some amazing things. The knowledge you seek maybe right there.

Hinduism has a lot of resources for that. Personally I'd suggest the Bhagavad Gita and the Srimad Bhagavatham (the latter is a very very long work, but goes very much in depth, it is an analysis of the Gita).

For a more modern perspective, Autobiography of a Yogi is a great choice.

Eh, I'm not sure on Masonry rituals, but have you researched Goetia, or Enochian magic at all? There's also natural magics, which has some wisdom in it.

[I'm assuming you equate magic with mysticism like I do]
