I am a pharmacy technician in Florida. MucinexD contains pseudoephedrine which is used in the manufacturing of methamphetamines. Pseudophed can increase your blood pressure so I could possibly see it being abused at parties but have only heard of it being used to manufactor illegal drugs. To also comment on the other person as to having to sign for the drug at pharmacies, the government now has you sign those logs so that it deters illegal drug manufacturers from purchasing the products, and also having it behind the counter makes it harder for them to steal.

I've never heard of that, but people will abuse just about anything.

No, its psuedoephedrine that is abused, enough of it makes you euphoric. This is what is used to make meth.
