i have hair a little past my shoulders. it is naturally curly. i either straighten it our wear it up. i want to start scrunching again but i cant find a good brand. I usually use Herbal Essences set me up max hold gel. since i have layers, it eventually gets "poofey" so i have to put it up. so what brand do you reccommend?

Try Bounce Back by KMS Curl-Up. It's a salon-only brand, but beauty supply stores carry it, and with it I can coax curls out of my heavy, wavy hair like nobody's business!

Actually, you do not need a comercial gel at all. Go to the fridge and get the following: Crisco, maple syrup, a flat Coke (not Pepsi, it lacks red dye number 5), a 40 of Colt 45. Take 3 teaspoons of Crisco and mix with 1 tsp of the maple syrup. Next, take the flat coke (you will need a dauber) and add 3 drops to the mix. Shotgun the Colt 45 and then eat the potion. In the morning your hair will be gone and your gel dilema will be no more.

...Jen...
I use Garnier Fructise "wet looks" gel, it leaves the hair looking wet all day, thus also laying like it does when it's wet, and I also use mousse which I think any one will do...
