I was sitting down at the computer, when all the sudden I started choking on ?stomach acid? that came up my throat. I was coughing and coughing. I took some baking soda mixed with water and it calmed my stomach down after about 30 minutes.
Is this acid reflux?

Sounds like acid reflux. Did you sit down really fast? Did you eat something spicy? There are plenty of over-the-counter meds you can try. If those fail, see your family Dr. He/She can prescribe something for you.

It sounds like acid reflux to me but is good check with the doctor because the acid can harm the lining of your esophagus. There are many medication which will treat this disorder like Prevacid for one. Do not lie down after eating, this makes it much worse.

It's happened to me before...but acid reflux is usually painful and accompanied by a burning sensation.
What it sounds more like to me is that you might've been full and your stomach was simply unsettled and you regurgitated some.

It sounds exactly like acid reflux. There are several medicines you can buy to help with that. My ex and my daughter both use Gaviscon and found that it worked for them.
