Is Iraq merely an economic battleground?

Could Iraq be the stage for financial war between the US and the "Death to America" (DTA) crowd? Whoever runs out of money first, loses? Like Vietnam as a stage for the war between the US and Russia/China, again with whoever runs out of money first, loses (the US ran out of money first). Who will run out of money first in this war between the US and the DTA crowd?

There seems to be a never ending line of young people coming up with these socialist agenda theories,So I must assume they originate from socialist public school teachers.I was IN baghdad hunting down and KILLING terrorists until 3 weeks ago,and I will go back in a few months to continue to do my job as a US marine.
The problem in 'nam was the liberal politicians getting in the way of the troops.Much the same problem exists in Iraq today.A marines job is to KILL people and DESTROY things....it's what we do ! We have a 'rules of engagement' book thats an inch thick,and the enemy has no rules at all !!! if we could get the pelosi-kennedy socialist lobby to just let us the hell alone,we'd have been done in Iraq already !!! Money really doesn't figure into it at all,dude...

It is a financial battleground for the terrorist who are funded by private oil money. The easiest ways to make more money in the oil business is by taking over fields or destroying the opportunity to get oil out of fields. The US does not own oil fields in Iraq nor would stopping its flow of oil help the US. American companies buy oil for US & sell almost none. I think your history ideas are twisted away from the facts.
