I would be very pleased. I am a Physics Minor and was nearly a science Major in my BA degree. Science is our friend. I probably know more about science than most of your friends do. I am also a mathematics major. I know the probability that this earth was created by a GOD is MUCH GREATER than the probability of evolution and the big bang fizzle. GOD created the earth, the stars, the heavens, man, and all of creation. Get a grip and become a Christian.

Study these scriptures and see what you think. To become a Christian:
1. We must HEAR GOD’s WORD. - Romans 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
2. We are told to BELIEVE. - To the Prison guard in Acts 16:31 Paul and Silas said, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household."
3. We must REPENT (turn from) of our sins. - Acts 17:30 Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent.
4. We are told to CONFESS CHRIST before men. - Matthew 10:32 "Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven.
5. We are to enter the waters and BE BAPTIZED. - Mark 16:16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.
6. We are told to CONTINUE TO BE FAITHFUL until death. - Revelation 2:10b Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.
Send me a note if you have questions. I am anxious to hear from you. Have a Great day.

Have him highlight what cannot be measured by science - "that which is defined as Observation and Experimentation" and ask some hard pressing questions to his science teacher. (Please let me know when you know someone who can recreate the "big bang" or someone who was there to observe it.)

--This coming from a previous atheist who took 42 hours of college science classes and later realizing that 1% of what is called science is an ever-changing theory that requires as much faith to believe as believing in a Creator - although, honestly, I find the latter much easier to believe in.--

The better question would be what would you do if your child was caught reading the bible. :)

Two of my friends are middle school science teachers. Plus there are plenty of videos out there about scientific finds which actually support Creationism. Besides which, I'm already open to the idea that God could have used "old" elements to create the earth. Have a happy bear, and I send you a scientific gummy bear with a pocket protector.

I have had 3 boys and all 3 have read science books, several if memory serves me right. They still are Christians. What would you do if you child read the Bible and liked it?

Tell them to remember that literature comes in many forms, history, comedy, facts, and fiction. Science books are no different. They have all of these attributes, but just remember that the section on evolution is mostly fiction.

I would be super happy! Especially since my older daughter can't read yet. :o)
I'm not positive I'm a fundamental Christian, but I guess I MIGHT be. But I still adore science. I like watching The Discovery Channel and all its spin-offs, reading Nat. Geo., going to livescience.com, etc.

for the first two: bite me.
for the inquirer, we don't need these screwy adjectives, do we?
for the answer: is there a problem with reading?
for the Truth: if science does not concur with God or the Bible, I don't bother.

To you, liberal (no doubt you are): if you REALLY cared of anything, you wouldn't need the poor attempt to get under someone's skin. Somehow liberals are scared of the Truth. this means all your motives are vain.
It will be in the end.

What would you do if you caught yourself reading the bible and understanding it.
I have no problem with factual science.
The big boom and evolution aren't facts (they are suppose to be theories passed of as fact).
There is no proof of either.
