The UK sponsor must write a letter explaining his/her situation - where (s)he lives, income, nationality, etc. They must also send copies of wage slips, bank statements, and the photo page of their passport. All that is enclosed with the visa application, which the applicant must send.

As a sponsor you cannot give a guarantee that the person you are sponsoring will return to their homeland, but you are supposed to be financially and socially responsible. Neither of you can recourse to public funds (ie claim benefits).

We can't afford any more.
