The Holy Spirit reveals the mysteries of the Bible to the believer. It makes no difference if you believe it or not. Why are you so irritated about that? Because we know things that you don't know? I think the 'stupid' thing is,when people feel the need to comment on things that they obviously know nothing about! There is no greater peace or comfort, than the Holy Spirit.

Our soul/spirit is what makes us a part of God. Man has separated himself from God. We are all the physical, mental, and spiritual likeness. He is already a part of you, every intuitive thought is your spirit guiding you. Those who meditate (Jesus, Mohammed, Buddha),introspect and understand self realization know that all you need to do is look within. Clear your mind of all thought when you meditate so that in silence you will hear God's voice.
As for your question, the holy spirit did not reveal the truth about the bible to me. Honestly, however I think that there are many teachings in the bible that have helped a lot of people during uncertain times. I know that I have opened the bible when I needed guidance and I swear I read something that it's like if getting an answer directly from him. I have my doubts about the historical account of the bible but the teachings are very helpful in regard to how to deal with life. And no one gave humans a manual so this is the next best thing.

The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity. And yes, He did reveal the truth of the Bible to me.
As far as needing anti-psychotic medication: I'm not the one getting irritated, am I?

The Bible was written with the aid of the Holy Spirit, therefore it can only be understood with its aid.
PS I'm ALREADY on anti-psychotics and that's the only reason I don't get irritated by people like you : ))

I grew up reading all these really easy bibles....The Holy Spirit revealing nothing because i could understand it all. Now i only read the KJV because it is the only Bible version in my opinion that has the full diety of God...And i don't care if you don't agree with me!

agnostica: The "short" of it is this. The Holy Spirit is the Transforming Power of God. The Father Plans His Desire - The Son [Jesus] i.e. "Logos" or Spokesman says it [Father's Desire] - and the Holy Spirit Creates it [ Father's Desire ]. These 3 - all in one are called the Trinity in "Biblical" terms !

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God sent to dwell within those who give their life to Jesus and follow God. The purpose is for leading and counseling you in life. I understand that you do not understand this concept, as you would have to be filled with the Holy Spirit to know him. Those who are filled with the Spirit, ii is very real and the presence of God is with you. I don't expect you to understand this, yet I wish you could.
