What does a girl have to have to be considered "girlfriend material"? What kinds of qualtities does she have to posess? I think I have an amazing personality..funny, outgoing, and easy to talk to. However, it seems that guys just want to "get it on" with me and not much more.....I'm attractive, but I feel like most guys don't care about my personality. Sometimes, I just want to downplay my looks just so that I can get a guy to like me for me and not my body.

well all you have to do is set some standards, like no kissing till the 5th date, no 2nd base till the 10th date, no sex till a couple months into the relationship after becoming gf /bf. It reduces your chance of being hurt, and increases your chances of a relationship. You will loose some guys in the process, but really your just weeding out the bad ones. Any guy that cares about you is willing to wait.
However their are good ones that dont wait but still work out in the long run, i found one, but that doesnt happen everyday. Rare find.

Well "girlfriend material" can be really different with dudes, some care a lot about physical beauty. others about personality and so on...however now adays people are more interested in beauty ....what you should do is try to avoid a relationship until you find someone that loves you for who you are not for the body that you have

Some young guys think about sex all day long and half the night, luckily most boys only think of it 1 or 2 hundred times a day. AND THAT WON"T CHANGE.
But you can get them to act properly around you by setting your limits and don't go beyond them.
until a boy matures, he wants conquest, and as soon as he gets conquest, he is off to find a different conquest.

You need a change of scenery. It sounds like you are stuck in a bad gene pool. Go to college. Things change real quick.
