Evolution believers say that fossil proof exist. This is one of their leading retorts. But the truth is there are no "links" from one species to the next. All creatures appear and disappear in the same state throughout the layers of the earth. If you "believe" in evolution show me proof? If you can. Please, leave the derogatory statements in the trash can of your mouth. I have heard enough form ignorant in dealing with this topic.

The simplest proof for evolution is exercising the brain God gave me to think with.

www.talkorigins.org is a good site to refute many if not all of the main points of creationism.

The problem you and I will have is that everything that I will use as a proof, you will claim is only evidence of 'adaptation' or 'micro-evolution', then we will debate whether or not that counts as evolution.

Evolution is more of a historic issue in many ways than a scientific one. If it were 'hard science' by the common definition, it could be duplicated in a lab- which evolution cannot be. On the other hand, evolution as a historical event is different- there is a lot of evidence that it has occurred... more evidence than there is that God exists or that the Bible is true.

To put it another way- there is little scientific proof that Cleopatra or Daniel Boone lived, but loads of historical evidence. Events in the past are hard to 'prove'- witness the people who claim that the moon landing was faked or the Holocaust did not happen. They all claim that things that we accept as being real did not happen and they claim that the evidence is fake or misrepresented.

My question to you is this:

"Do not judge, lest you be judged by the same measure", right? The standards you apply to others are the standards that are applied to you- a variant of the Golden Rule.

So... the standard of evidence you are applying to evolution- have you applied the same strict standards to the Bible and creationism?

In my studies of the Bible as a devout believer, I find that the OT states that the 'laws and the prophets' are inspired, while there is no such claim for the other books, like the histories... like Genesis.

Most of the core issues in creation science are the opinions of a handful of people, and a lot of that is based on a rather specific interpretation of the Bible.

You (and some other people around here) are spending a LOT of time taking these few people at their word pretty uncritically, but look at the work of many more scholars very critically. This does not seem fair nor in the spirit of the Golden Rule.

No evidence! no longer something could be shown interior the scientific sense. We use evidence to refute or validate theories. The greater validation, the greater popular the thought will become. scientific approach demands everlasting open-mindedness, which in turn potential that no longer something can ever be shown to be one hundred% ultimate as there is new conflicting evidence next door... So, no proofs for evolution, yet oodles of validating evidence! the main suitable thank you to get a cope with on this is analyzing "The beginning of Species" to completely comprehend the assumption, and then some technology articles to work out the place examine has have been given to in recent times. Humour? can no longer do greater ideal than Larson's clarification of why dinosaurs grew to develop into extinct...

YOU (and all life for that matter) are proof of evolution. It's hard for you to understand and believe because the scope of evolution happens over BILLIONS of years and humans only live around 80. All life is connected by a common evolution due to our common organic chemistry. All plant and animal life on this planet, and all that has ever lived, is made of the same basic elements. We may not look much like an oak tree but deep down, we are exactly the same.

Think about this, the fossils and layers of earth don't lie. Of all the life that has ever existed on this planet, 99% of it is now extinct. We make up the small 1% of life that survived the billions of years natural selection took to evolve life. If you go back far enough, all life has a common and single instance. A deep and humbling thought.

This i believe is a dead debate. Evolutionists cant disprove creation and vice versa.

any proof they offer only proves that 1. life got more complex threw history. 2. Many different species share similar DNA sequences. This only proves that Different species carried the same blueprint on how they were made/concieved It also could be proof that one species became another. This is the delema and always will be.

Just to add something strange that will make you think twice about this whole topic is in the bible God first greated the land and the seas.. separated earth from water. he then created all maner of things that crept on the land and swam in the sea.. Man and mamals were created later. Now how/why would a man (who wrote the bible 1000's of years ago) put creation in that particular order? was it blind luck? the study of strata and fossils isnt that old of a science. So how would this man or men know to do this?

I just want to know what the hell is being taught in schools these days. Seriously, nobody past the age of 12 should even need to ask such questions. Evolution is backed up by not only the fossil record, but by biology, genetics, and many other sciences. Do you know why influenza cannot be cured? Because the 'flu virus mutates from season to season. That's called evolution. Same with cold viruses and bacteria. Why do you think there are new diseases cropping up all the time?

Btw, nobody "believes" in evolution. Belief is for people who don't have facts, and evolution IS a fact. Creationism is not. It is a fantasy created by Bronze Age goat ropers who didn't even have the word science in their vocabulary.

I'm getting real sick of answering this because christians can't be bothered to actually type the words "transitional fossils" into a search engine.

You already know the proof, and if you don't, you can find it by taking 5 minutes to type it out in a search engine.

As for the derogatory statements and the insult of calling anyone that knows evolution is real "ignorant" is why people get reported to the mods.

You want proof?

There is no proof.

God created the world, not a big bang.

Those scientists are nuts, they are just trying to prove that there is no God. They know that things could not just bang and appear instantly, but they don't want to admit that God did create the world; He created them! I mean, think about it: How could there just be a big explosion, and you'd look around you and there everything was, in perfect order. Go outside when it's warmer and pick a leaf. Gaze at the intricate designs of the veins, only God could do that. Not just some big bang.
Do you study science? Everybody knows how complicated the human body is. God made man in His own image! There could not just be some big explosion, and then there was live people, walking around. It's unbelievable. It is a lie. The Bible has proof that God DID create the universe, and nothing is going to change my mind about that.

There are two possibilities - either we have always been here or we evolved from other species.

If you look in the fossil record you can dig back to times when there are all kinds of animals and plants - none of which exist today and none of todays species existed then. This effectively rules out the idea that we and other current species have always been here. The only other explanation is that modern species evolved from earlier species.

It's that simple.

Why do we have things on and n our bodies that we don't use.
Ex. Appendix- its there and it does nothing.
Tail Bone- we don't have a tail
Obviously these are things that at one point did something but now have no use... evolution.
Oh and why are humans generally getting taller from generation to generation? Evolution.
How about the eye, many creatures have eyes that don't work as wel as ours... why, because they evolved to a point that they needed for survival and stopped. Some see colors, some only see differences in light , others only black and white.
heres an easy one, why do diseases that we thought we had cures for and were not dangerous resurface stronger than ever, they are evolving, adapting to there surroundings and becoming immune to antibiotics. Evolution.
Just because something doesn't happen right in front of your eyes fas enough for one generation to notice it, doesn't mean that nothing is happening. IT is... Evolution.

Evolution doesn't happen over night. It's a long process and usually ends with a species dying because the environment can't support it anymore. The lucky few who develop a genetic abnormality that allow them to live produce offspring with their new genes and create a new species.

It is unfathomable how many species of flowers never made it because there wasn't a bug to help pollenate it. But the ones that somehow attracted the bug lived. That's evolution.
