I don't think I am being to picky. Is it wrong to have standards or should I just try to work with what's out there?
About me:
20
smart
cute
nice
have a car
have an apartment
have a job
go to school
have a child (age 3)
totally indepentant.

I would like to find a guy that is on the same level I am on. Am I asking to much? I have no problem finding a guy that wants to go out with me and I am not materialistic, but I keep finding myself in relationships where I feel like I am a cash machine because the other person always wants me to help them get on their feet. I am always trying to be supportive. What am I doing wrong?

You probably go to places where guys are NOT on your level. Ex: Clubs, bars, partys, blind dates....

Go to where you know people are going to be on your level. Like school & church.

But my best advice is to make FRIENDS first. Dont go out trying to find "a man" go out and just make meaningful friends. From that great relationships will bloom. : )

Just be patient, the right guy will come along eventually. A guy who has a good job and doesn't need you just for money. The only thing you are doing wrong is worrying about finding someone, just stay focused on your job, school, and youir child. You'll find him faster then you think.

You're not doing anything wrong. World has changed drastically over the past decade.
Keep doing a great job of joggling life, work and school.

I dont think you are asking for too much. Yes you are young and you are independent and you are also a mom to a beautiful kid!! Yeah it would be nice for you to meet someone nice to do things with and someone who would love you and also treat your child as theirs. No thats perfectly normal for you to feel the need to find that person. Iam sure you will without a doubt. I believe that everyone has that special person waiting to meet them....so good luck!!
