so he asked me how I felt about age difference when it came to dating and then he said that he didn't have time for a relationship with me but he does want to get to know me more. Is he saying that he likes me? And it could happen? idk I just want opinions.

A week before at a semiformal he asked me to dance. And well, my friends despise him. They say he is something that he is not. But he is realy nice. When we danced, we were so close(slow dancing so to speak) and I felt a connection. can I feel a connection when he can't? or would be have both felt it???

well my friend's have that opinion because they are on someone else's side when it comes to war with him. They have at least become alittle okay with it. But otherwise he says he thinks I am pretty dateable and that I am attractive. but IDK

Sam... listen to your friends. I'm speechless otherwise. Sincerely, don't give him another thought. You'll find love when it's time. He said that he didn't have time for a relationship... believe him. Men always say what they mean. Good luck and God bless!

Go with the flow and don't be so analytical about the relationship. Enjoy yourself and whatever you and the new guy want to do, do it. But be sensible and follow your instincts. This is not analytical thinking, it's common sense. If you feel the guy is jerking you around, flee. Life is too short to stick around him if he starts treating you like a litter box.

Who cares what your friends think if they despise him! Are they going out with this guy you like and having a great time?

Apparently no. Only time can tell if you and the guy are made for each other.

If your friends are giving you a hard time, let them know that in life, you have to take risks. If you don't, how would you ever learn? If your friends give you a ninny fit about it, they are being immature and acting childish and are not worth being friends at all. Friends should always be supportive to you no matter what decision you make, whether it would be a stupid or smart decision.

(Have them read this and understand this if you don't want friction in the friendship.)

Now if you tried to kill or hurt yourself and your friends are trying to stop you, then you are only being foolish to yourself. Know the difference.

Be your own boss and be in charge of your DESTINY and also use common sense.

BUT...

If the guy is older than you (He's 18 and you're 17 1/2 ~ That would be statutory rape.) You would be jail bait to him and that is bad news.

i think he means he wants to be your friend ´cause he doesn´t have enough time to build a more intimate relationship. He also might be saying that just because he wants to take things really slow. Anyway, he probably likes you if he mentioned wanting to get to know you better.

He is trying to let you down easily. He doesn't like you like you want him to. I'm sorry. He just doesn't want to outright say, "I don't like you". If you want to try it as friends, keep it just as that in your mind. You will get hurt if you fall for him and he ends up having to tell you in a way that will hurt. Good Luck.
