Keep researching and go natural. Visit a naturopathic and similar for information and advice. Drugs are toxic and will have long term effects.

Note that Lupus is an auto-immune problem, use that as part of a search term when you research on the Internet. Don't give up!!

Pain is Gods way of letting us know we are still alive. Sorry, at my age I can smile at that. Its not fair at 14. But nobody said it would be fair. Unless there is straightforward genetic mechanism for your symptoms, do not, I repeat do not accept a Dr. saying you have this or you have that. They LOVE to put a name on a group of symptoms and figure that thats progress. And you'd be amazed at the people who go in to a doctor for a diagnosis and after spending hundreds of dollars come away feeling better because the doctor "diagnosed" them by telling them the latin description for their symptoms. People feel better by categorizing the unknown. Anyway. we know that the immune system is really really complex and we also know that no two of us is alike. So, we can never be sure what doesn't work for one won't work for the other. Never take "common wisdom" for fact. So, don't spend all your time and money on "non-traditional" remedies, but don't lose hope either. Ignorance is slowly giving way to knowledge and eventually we will get to wisdom. Keep looking. Try Medline for prognosis.

hey, i don't have lupus, it has occurred in our family. by the time it was discovered there was "no hope". that was about 15+ years ago. then lupus was treated like cancer, no one knew anything.
my best advise to you, esspecially since you're so young, seek every opprotunity you can. evey web site, doctor anything.
no one said you're stuck, you're just on hold.
some one out there has something for you, you're brave enough to try this, try holistic health. maybe there's someone out there doing a new research you can try, be the case study that puts it over!
my prayers to you! i feel you find what you need!

No, you won't outgrow the lupus I"m afraid. I'm sorry that you have to endure this. You need to speak to your dr. about a pain management clinic so that you can function with this awful disease.

Best of Luck and Hang in there!

I suggest you may want to talk to people who are successful with natural methods. I have read about these types of diseases and there seems to be a long senario of improper diet and medications that have caused problems along with the pollution we all deal with daily.

There is a naturopath named Williams who wrote a fantastic book on immunity which I think you need to read. He has successfully helped people get their health back.

Ask your doctor about Acupuncture...it helps some folks with chronic pain diseases. I think it would be worth a shot.
