I am Jewish..For the most part we jews do not interfere with the morals and beliefs of other people. Why can't christians practices thier religion and not impose thier values on others?

When I mean impose:
Supporting legislation to outlaw abortion.
Various missionary activity
Forcing people a church soup kitchen to hear a sermon prior to eating, not respecting the religious beliefs of other cultures.

the idea of christian morality is a joke to me.

you cant promote a book that has racism, murder, incest, dea, destruction, slavery and other unspeakable horrors and insist that your (higher) morality comes from that.

its simple: if the book your claim to get your morality from has immoral acts in it and CONDONES, nay COMMANDS these acts....it is NOT a source of morality.

This is America and we are free to do and say pretty much whatever we want. Even though our forefathers railed against uniting church and state, there is no doubt that the bible and christianity informs our decisions and has shaped our nation for better or worse. Just look at the R&S section in Y/A, many of these christians are outright mean toward a differing point of view wishing hell and damnation on those who have an opposing point of view. Not very christlike if you ask me.

governments do the same thing whether they listen to us or not. we just operate under a different govenrment, as ambassadors.

and everyone tries to impose their morals, so don't target us.
1) Atheists will try to impose their moral that it's wrong to serve God, or it doesn't matter which one(s) you serve.

2) Some people will try to impose the belief of "tolerate everything" on you.

3) Some muslims (not referring to 9/11) have stated that there's nothing wrong with hostility when exacting revenge. Other Muslims have tried to dictate what a "true Christian" is.

4) Some unsaved Catholics'll tell you that baptism has to happen before the child can make moral decisions

5) Some Buddhists have said that if I don't start praying to Buddha, I'm immoral

the list goes on. maybe it's just my case, but more people have tried to impose their beliefs on me than me on them.

Because we want everyone to know the truth before the rapture (when Jesus comes back in the clouds to take up all the believers). Whoever is left behind will go through a great tribulation and given a second chance to believe. It is going to be a very awful time and the Jews are going to suffer the most. Jews don't believe that Jesus was the Messiah right?

If you have a bible check it out for yourself:

1 Thessalonians chapter 4 vs 13-17
The Revelation chapter 20 vs 12-15
1 Timothy chapter 2 vs 5

Abortion doesn't belong in that list; or if it does, laws against other forms of violence can be included as well - there is a difference between legislation to protect one human being from another, and legislation to protect people from themselves. The former is essential in any civilized society; the latter is "imposing the values of some on all."
As far as that goes (the rest of your list, for instance, and you could include legislation concerning alcohol and same sex relationships as well,) they think they're helping people - saving souls. I suppose they see it as akin to saving someone who's about to drink poison or jump off a roof. According to their worldview, it's a moral duty to "save people from themselves."

The only reason you don't try to impose your morality is because you can't, since you're not in the majority.

In the country of the jewish people, can people get married in a civil ceremony? Are people allowed to work on the sabbath? Are children free not to study your holy books? Can people get married at all if the religious authority does not agree to it?

I agree in full sentiment to this question. You see I am a Hindu and I just hate it when I see religious assimilation. It does not say anyway in the Bible that everyone must be a Christian.

As a Christian, I must ask,,,Do you want me to believe that your religion does not try to influence its beliefs and practices on other societies.

Because our Messiah told us to spread the gospel message. You should know better than anyone that to disobey God is not good. If you don't accept Christianity that is your choice. All we do is tell folks and what they do with it is up to them.

because many profess to be christian and don't know Christ from a button hole or they wouldn't concern themselves with arbitrary moral standards just to make noise and be noticed so they can feel right.
i appreciate Jews for their Jewishness, for true i do, though i am not Jewish, i have Jewish friends who are good friends and Jewish customers who are good customers...people of integrity whose integrity shines way above the "integrity" of self proclaimed "christians"
