So I bought this stuff but I either put waaaay too much on or it was too dark for my skin. And now I look ORANGE and have lines around my ankles and wrists and basically look pretty silly. It was for an event this weekend - how do I reverse the effect?

For goodness' sake dont use any kind of bleach!
The lemon idea sounds good, maybe the baby oil, but basically you need to exfoliate. Most fake tans arent designed to last for long and are susceptible to a good scrubbing!

Fresh lemon juice and sugar. Mix it together till you get a paste. The acid in the lemon neutralises the tan while the sugar acts as an exfoliant and buffs it away!

I think the fastest way would be a swim in a pool that is chlorine treated..the same happened to me once and I was so embarrassed walking down the street in shorts of all things and it kept getting or-anger and oranger and my dad refused to walk with me and it took for ages to fade....

Okay - sounds weird but coat yourself in baby oil and let it skin on your skin for about 20 minutes, then have a soak in a bath for a little while, read a magazine and relax.
Get out of bath, check to see if you are still orange, if you are, then rub bicarb soda onto your skin and dip a facewasher in vinger then start to rub the facecloth over the bicarb on your body, do all over, then take another shower and exfoilate your body - hopefully you will be back to a normal shade. Then mosturise.
Goodluck :)

P.S. PLEASE DO NOT USE BLEACH!!!!!!!!

I suggest lemon juice and Bicarb, and use a loofah, especially around the ankles.

Use a strong but skin kind bleach. Domestos should give you memories.
