Toronto is an awesome city - a little cold at the moment but the summer here is incredible. Very safe and clean - like a small NYC without teh crowds, crimes, filth etc. We have tons of restaurants for any kind of food in the world - the city is very multi-cultural. There are plenty of events on all the time, live music, clubs, theater etc.

try this - www.toronto.com for a few ideas

Lordy, yes! You'll have a blast no matter what you do. It's like the whole world in one - very multi-cultural, but not all mixed together. Different parts of the city support different cultures - Italy, Portugal, China, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, Jamaica, India, Greece... the CN tower is a great place to work or visit (I've done both), Centre Island which you get to by ferry is fun, and there are some awesome parks. Also good nightlife - check out the clubs for sure.

You are eligible for a year long working holiday visa. It would be a real waste to just stay in Toronto, you should travel around. You are not eligible for a regular visa as you do not have specialised skills or work experience. The Us is a separate country, no-one in Canada cares .
