I've never replyed to any letters sent by the debt collectors working on behalf of natwest bank in the united kingdom surly as no contact his been made between me and them that it must be ' statue barred ' by now?!!! , even though im still getting letters from robinson way and co debt collectors saying if i fail to pay witin 10 days of the letter a ccj will be applied they have been saying this for 7 years the same thing and never appiled it ! THIS DEBT HAPPENDED IN THE UNITED KINGDOM ,

If you owe the money, you owe the money. If they can show reasonable effort (ie. a letter, bill or phone call) in collecting the money over the years than no statute of llimitations exists. I am not sure that statute of limitations is even accliapable for debt or everyone would be doing this.

that's somewhat unusual for the sequence company to easily allow you to recognize in writing that the debt is only too old for them to sue or submit on your credit record. they couldn't record the debt to the credit bureaus and may want to lose a lawsuit in case you take advantage of the Statute of obstacles (SOL), the time-body to document lawsuits, as an affirmative protection. they could nevertheless attempt to assemble. you may counteroff a freelance of $one hundred and they could gladly settle for it. yet there is no actual advantae to you to attain this. you may only tell them to pass pound sand and not in any respect contact you again.

I wouldn't worry about it. Get a three credit bureau report and see if it's even on there. It's always good to get your FICA score anyway. I just did this, and was pleasantly surprised that a lot had fallen off the report. Best of luck :)

i know in the USA the limit is 7 years, not sure about the UK
