Absolutely not. You need to take hot ones to open up your sinuses and bronchial tubes. You feel much better with the steam. Actually, a hot bath may be better because you can stay longer in the steam. You also want to stay warm so you don't get worse, a cold shower would not be advised at all.

nope...steam and heat helps with the sinuses and throat, & Chest...which is also why there are plenty that believe in drinking warm fluids when you have a cold. The only time I take a cool shower is in the warm weather season.

ussually heat therapy is most often recomended. steam releases sinus pressure and muscle tension. often these treatments along with aromatherapy, help a great deal.
try the shower soothers offered at the pharmacy. they are a very large "hospitat smelly" tab you drop in the tub while you shower in hot or warm water, they release scents to clear you sinuses and chest. they helped me a lot!

Only if you have a very high fever that you need to break otherwise take a hot shower and sweat it out

ummmm no you are supposed to sweat out a cold not freeze it out, the steam from a hot shower will help loosen mucus in your chest
