Their biggest mistake is using the bible to prove theirbelief. Hello, we don't believe in the bible! Their circular reasoning shows how truly uneducated they are. Anyway.. for all the believers...
If you didn't know, people have been evil throughout history. Nothing has changed there. If anything we are more civilized because of education. Any person can say that things are going to get worse. It is a 37.6 chance that there prediction would come true. 1 chance is that things would get better. Another would be that they stay the same. No real genius thought there.
Now if the bible had talked about microscopic organisms that caused disease instead of demons, or something else scientific that was not known then I would be convinced. However, this puny defense is not worth the consideration.

The Holy Bible is a light in the darkness. It was written a very long time ago for people who were nothing like you and I. We have progressed a very long way since then.
Still, it is a light in the darkness! It is meant for folk like yourself, who cannot see in the darkness.
Jesus Christ did not come to us to start a new religion. He came to us as an example, of how life should be lead. Was He wrong in any way? I think not. Can you live your life by the standards He set forth, yes! We all can learn from His teachings.
Why do YOU have such a hard time understanding what is right in life? He (Jesus) gave us an example that few (if any) of us can live up to. "How can you refuse Him now"?

Christians use the Bible against each other. They are always trying to prove who is right, which would also prove who is wrong. People caught up in this proving each other wrong mentality, and I'm not just talking about Christian issues here, are weak individuals. They are attempting to prove their beliefs by proving it to you. And, for them, the only way is by spouting scripture. These people are a real turnoff. And, yes, I'm a Christain.

The Bible is a faith document. So when you ask about our bible based faith he will speak about what the Bible has to say about our beliefs.
Also you can not simply discredit the Bible because you are not a Jew or Christian. The Bible has a lot of historical value and a lot of overall credibility as a text. (don't botther talkign about contradictions, if you do, you don't know what you are talking about, or most likely don't_

As a rule, those that have the mental capacity to educate themselves do. Those that don't, take the lazy way out and put blind faith in something that makes no demands of their mental prowess. In short, they cannot relate to the normal logical demands of a superior intellect.

We do not. In fact, we NEVER even consider the word proof. That is and atheist/agnostic stand. We live by and teach about faith, we could care less about proof.
