I have two although I must admit I like all of the guidelines really.

The simplicity of the First Noble Truth is an inspiration. With full understanding of this one an understanding of non self is awakened and then an inherent understanding of the other three is achieved, a truly Noble Truth. It rates as my favourite.

The second principle that inspires is that we are truly in charge of our own and therefore other's happiness through the action of the Law of Karma, the fact that I have a direct effect on my neighbour's happiness is a little daunting at first and gives me pause every time I interact with others, making me think before I act.

A good question.

Peace from a Buddhist.
