No. It gives you a chance to serve your country. In return you can become a citizen faster than a civilian can.

You do have to be a legal resident of the United States to join the military.

So i'd say that means NO !!!!!

Since the citizens in question, have already made the commitment to live in America.

Any American citizen or lawful American resident is considered to be an 'American.'

They are not mercenaries - instead they are people who are protecting your freedoms.

you do have to be a U.S. citizen to serve in the military, BUT bush is hiring mercenaries from South America to promise greencards (greencard soldiers) which is illegal, among his other things
