At one time, grape-nuts had a recipe for serving them hot, like oat meal. What is the recipe?

Without a recipe in front of me, exactly. I would poor enough water on them to be even with the top of the cereal in a micro safe bowl and heat depending on your micro wave 3 or 4 minutes Stir and give the a minute or two more. I used to make grape nuts, it is quite a process. What you see in the box was actually a in the shape of a loaf at one time and is dried and ground into what you it looks like when you buy them in a store. I am from Battle Creek where they are made. And worked for post a long time ago. You can actually heat the water poor it over the top and then drain the water to soften them up so that they are edible, and not so hard.

Edit: badwardin is right, but you can very the recepi and do it in a micro wave just as easy.

HOT GRAPE NUTS CEREAL

1/4 c. Grape Nuts cereal
1/3 c. milk
1 tsp. honey or brown sugar
1 tsp. butter

Combine in saucepan, bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer 1 minute, stirring occasionally. Makes 1 serving.
