A serial killer is someone who commits three or more murders in three or more separate locations with a break period in between the homicides. The break period could last days, months or years. Many serial killers are psychopaths. For the person who gave me a thumbs down. Couldn't you have waited a few minutes while I gathered the answer? Damn.

Someone who uses the same method of operation (MOA) during multiple murders spanning over a period of time (weeks, months, even years). Recently a serial killer known as the "railroad murderer" was executed by the State of Texas.

A person who kills two or more people over a period of time as apposed to a spree killer who kills a bunch of people right in a row usually ending in suicide or capture (Columbine) or a Mass killer who kills a bunch of people at one sitting as in a bomb...Mary

Someone who is a serious criminal and has no remorse or feelings, this kind of killer has feels he has to kill, a repetition of numerous of times. Mentally very ill!
