I have a white coating on my tounge, and I was told it is thrush. If it is left untreated, what could happen? Also, could stress cause it?

This can be treated with anti-fungal drugs. This can also be treated with diet.
If left untreated then you may become very ill, as the infection may spread and cause various oter infections.
Stress contributes to the recovery time...the more you stress about it, the longer it may take to heal.
I suggect you go to your doctor and get antibiotics to treat the infection, eat yogart (helps maintain bacterial levels) and drink plenty of water.

I dont know about the whole stress thing but my child had thrush and he was absulutly miserable. Its a fungus I know that much I would just get treated. I mean who wants fungus on their tounge and I think it could move into your throught and cause possably more serious things. Just get treated.

Usually caused by a recent antibiotic. Not usually stress related. Check with your doc--can be a simple fix...

Check out earthclinic.com for natural remedies for it.
I've had it, and used Apple Cider Vinegar and Hydrogen Peroxide to treat it easily.

Yes, stress can contribute to it. It needs to be treated otherwise it can become a systemic problem.
