In film, you could just overexpose by a little, a third up to a full stop. In digital, that is not an option!

I do not know Canon dSLR cameras, but there may be a setting in the menu to saturate or vivid color.

In reality. most dSLR users plan to edit in post processing I think post processing has reached ridiculous levels, especially in landscapes. They seem to be more colorful than Velvia ever was!

If you can't afford PSCS2, then get Elements5. The levels and curves have been added, and either one will make a world of difference in your images.

For some, Photoshop is a fashion to the contact up an image - eliminate a blemish, get a touch more desirable determination in the publicity, or deliver out a particular part of the picture that in the different case might want to be hidden. the image is what's important, and making it a touch more desirable sensible works. For some, the image is only the starting up. they're artists, except somewhat of starting up with a sparkling canvas, they commence with an image, and then get imaginative. i do not imagine there's a situation with both of those. i'm a lot more desirable in the first classification, although the 2d is very perfect, too.

Make sure the settings are correct.
Photos are rightly exposed - not overexposed (burned out) or underexposed (dull).
Select the SUN/Cloud/Night settings accordingly.
Make sure the lens is clear and cleaned with a lint free cloth.
