Sometimes feeling sick from food poisoning shows up within hours of eating the bad food. At other times, someone may not feel sick until several days later. With mild cases of food poisoning, you will not feel sick for very long and will soon be feeling fine again. Food poisoning could be from e. coli, salmonella, and listeria. Since shrimp is included on this list, so you may very well have been subjected to one of these bacterias:{ I know it's uncomfortable, but keep flushing your system with fluids and it will soon pass (no pun intended). Hope you feel better soon.

It probably is food poisoning, but you will probably get over it in a day. If it gets worse go see a doctor. Most everyone at one time in their life gets food poisoning, there is no thing as a 24 hour flu.
The more important question is why would you eat shrimp with melted cheese on it? And why when you found out it was raw did you continue to eat it?

Like any raw food, There are risks of foodborne illness such as bacteria, parasites and toxins, when you eat sashimi. An example is Anisakis simplex (Pseudoterranova decipiens)for parasites. Go see a Doctor...
Avoiding poisoning
As the consumption of raw foods gains popularity, some unsafe foods have entered the diets of humans. The following should be consumed with caution:
Buckwheat greens are toxic when raw, particularly if juiced or eaten in large quantities by fair skinned individuals. The chemical component fagopyrum is known to cause severe photosensitivity and other dermatological complaints.
Kidney beans, including sprouts, are toxic when raw
Rhubarb: when eaten in sufficient quantity, leaves can be toxic when raw, stalks are completely safe to eat when harvested early.
Potatoes: a member of the nightshade family, produce the toxic alkaloid solanine when they turn green. Solanine can be neutralized by cooking in a deep fryer. In processed potatoes such as chips and fries, there is little hazard since peels are removed and they are fried.
Raw foods contain bacteria and may contain parasites, which may cause foodborne illnesses. Heating to high temperatures destroys most bacteria and parasites.

You should never eat raw seafood. Ever. Shrimp is boiled before it is eaten or steamed to kill bacteria. You probably have food poisoning and you need to go to the hospital before it gets worse. What kind of idiot thinks you can eat raw shrimp?

it's my understanding that food poisoning hits you faster than that. prob just a stomach bug. if you're still sick tomorrow go see a doctor. or if you get a fever or feel worse.
