How do I get over an ex who i love and she keeps tellin me we will get back together then we dont?

I had a girlfriend for a long time and i broke up with her cause i was stupid and when i reilzed that she found someone else i begged to have her back and she told me she would get back with me but lied and went with this other guy. 5 months later after not talking for a long time she texts me and says she wants to get back with me but she still has this boyfriend. I asked her ok i will but she says she needs time to figure out stuff but im thinking if she really loved me she would dump her boyfriend and come back to me. I have told her this and when i do she gets mad at me and tells me i just dont understand. I really do love her and i know that she cares about me because why would she bother texting me that one day. But i just want to know if i should just get over her or give her time to think? but if i give her time to think i dont want her just tellin me later that she doesnt want to be with me like she did last time. Someone give me adivice lol

stop giving her the power over you. She knows how much you still care and is using that to her advantage. I know you Love her, but let it burn, you deserve better than those games she is playing. Start dating again, you will be surprised what else is out there.
