I have had this problem continuously since I got this used
computer. It's not the WMP9's fault, it has to do with dial-up
and just not enough power to use the media player. I tried
Real Player and that didn't work well either. Some overseas
sites have their own players that work better than anything
I've seen so far.When I go on DSL, I will change players.
