You can't think you're playing hard to get. Because people only play hard to get on purpose, not on accident. If they play hard to get on accident, that's not playing hard to get. That's just shyness. Just pretend he's another one of your nice guy friends, instead of an extremely hot guy you don't know that often. First, take it easy and just say a simple Hi to him down the halls, or maybe call him once or twice and say, "Hey, what's up?". Then, when your confidence has gained a little, you can start having more full length conversations with him. If you don't want to say hi to him right now, just smile at him. And make it obvious that you're purposely smiling at him.
