I have a subscription to ancestry.com, the records there a too old. What I'm looking for is within the last 30 years.

did he immigrate legally if so then the date would be on his resident alien card if he has one or if the person naturalized then they would do a F.O.I.A, form I-639 and request his file from the National Benefits Center, branch of the USCIS.
