if a guy said he likes you but won't do anything for you because he's scared of your daddy does that mean he don't really like you?

he would always tell me what he wanted to do but that he wasn't. i eventually said to him that if he wasn't going to do than don't tell me you wanted to. he stopped. but i miss him. :(
