I want to clear recent documents, not shorcuts of programs that I have used recently.

Right Click on Start Button / Left click Properties / Left click Customize / Left Click on the Advanced Tab at the top / Click Clear List under Recent Documents / Click OK / and then OK again.

Right click on Start.
Select Properties
Select Customize button
Press the Clear List button.
